From: Library Commission
Subject: Library Expansion Survey
The Library Commission discussed the Council's suggestion of a
survey regarding the proposed library expansion. The Commission
concluded that the uncertainty of the economy could result in a
survey that would not accurately reflect the community's desire and
willingness to pay for an expanded library. Therefore, the
Commission decided not to proceed with a survey at this time.
The Commission will proceed with the survey when the economy shows
signs of stabilizing and will meanwhile focus its attention on
raising funds for the library and promoting library volunteerism.
