IV. COMMISSION AND STAFF REPORTS
A. RECREATION SURVEY REPORT REVIEW
The Recreation Survey was reviewed. Some of the things
residents requested were more involvement with teams and
high school activities, drinking fountain in Kevin Moran
Park. The report also showed that Wildwood is the most
widely used of the City parks.
B. B~YI~.S~~T, PARK. ~E P~I~Y
Members of the "Wombats", an informal adult softball
league were present and discussed their interest in
keeping the parks available for citizens to have
non-structured activities. Dan told the Commission of
the problems we are having because the City does not
have enough facilities to accommodate all the groups
requesting them. Commissioner Pierce supports free
play, Commissioner Franklin agrees and feels there is
too much structure. The Commission will schedule a work
session to form a use policy after gathering data on
current park use and finding out if there are school
facilities available that we can utilize.
