Commission received a compilation of information on park use fees from surrounding communities. Based on this information, it was felt that no change in rental fees for picnics and weddings should be made at this time. However, a definition of the length of a season and a fee per use rather than per person be established for use of playing fields. Also discussed was a processing fee for non-residents. Commissioner Pierce moved that the Comnmission recommend that Council set a fee schedule for all playing fields at $15 per use for residents and $25 per use for non-residents. The motion was unanimously approved. Staff will bring a final report for Commission's approval before presenting it to Council. Dan described difference in Median Master Plan and the revised plan submitted by the developer and explained reasons for the modifications. Commissioner Saunders moved to approve the modified plan. The Commission unanimously approved the modified plan. Dan displayed the developer's map of the location and recommended that no special conditions be placed on the developer. The Commission unanimously approved the recomendation. Georgina Meehan, president of the West Valley Aquatic Team, was present to request the Commission's support in a request for the City of Saratoga's help in promoting the team in newsletters or recreation flyer, fund replacement of equipment, provide a training room and video equipment to use at least once a month. Dan suggested the Commission recommend to Council that a discount rate for a training room be figured and that we provide use of our video machine. Dan and Joan will get together with Georgina to come up with some low cost or no direct cost type benefits the City may be able to provide and come back to the Commission and see if the Commission wants to make a recommendation to Council. Pepsi Cola donated two 5' high, 15' wide scoreboards to Saratoga Little League. Since they are 5' wider than the signs that were planned, they will interfere with the soccer fields. Dan suggested that they be placed in left center field, parallel to the corridor. The Commission unanimously approved erecting the signs at that location. A. Roger Clemens reported on the C.P.R.S. Conference. Roger brought back audio tapes for the Commissioners to hear. None VI.
