Vice-Chairman Ward called the meeting to order at 7:30
p.m.

Saunders, Ward. Absent: Clemens, Vallone.
Staff: Dan Trinidad, Roy Swanson, Sharon Trejo.

Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda for this
meeting was properly posted on June 3, 1988.

The City was contacted by the State Alcoholic Beverage
Commission regarding the ABC's regulation that states
that if there is a park within 600 feet of an on-sale
liquor license, the representative of the agency for the
for the park has to be notified and be given the
opportunity to object to the on-sale liquor license.
None of the Commissioners present had any objection to
allowing the sale of beer and wine at the restaurant.

Dan read Kim's notes on recreation programs. There will
be a new day camp at E1 Quito Park and a returning
nature camp at Wildwood Park. New West Valley Aquatics
swim class, new flycasting class at Congress Springs
Park, and a matting and framing class at the Community
Center. Returning is a large tennis program. The
department hired a new program coordinator, Tom Walters.
He'll be the coordinator for the sports programs and the
teen program. Council wants to meet with teens on July
12th to discuss their needs.

Commissioners Franklin, Pakula, Vallone and Ward's need
to notify Council that their terms expire in August and
send a letter stating whether they intend to serve
another term or not. Dan encouraged all Commissioners
to continue.
