Chairman Ward called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
I. ORGANIZATION
A. ~OLL CALL - Present: Clemens, Crotty, Franklin, Miller, Pierce,
Saunders, Swan, Ward
Staff: Pisani, Trinidad
Also in attendance were members of Heritage Committee
B. MINUTES - Approval of Minutes - 7/9/90. Minutes were approved
as submitted.
C. POSTING OF THE AGENDA
Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda for this meeting was
properly posted on August 1, 1990.
II. OLD BUSINESS
A. The Commissioners approved the Park Superintendent's
recormendation for replacing play equipment at E1 Quito, Congress
Springs and Gatdiner Parks. The proposal to select the
recommendend supplier was approved after some discussion
concerning utilization of a developmental type of play equipment.
It was decided to limit this type of equipment to Congress
Springs Park only.
B. The short and long term uses of the Warner Hutton House (see
attached memo to City Council for specifications) were discussed
by the Parks & Recreation and Heritage Commission Commissioners.
C. Park Appreciation Program concepts were discussed.
D) Commissioner Franklin was appointed to be the Parks & Recreation
representative to the Open Space Committee. Ann Marie Gilman was
appointed to serve as the alternate.
