PLACE: SENIOR DAY CARE CENTER 19655 Allendale Avenue, Saratoga, California TYPE: Regular Meeting ORGANIZATION A. ROLL CALL - Present: Crotty, Miller, Pierce, Swan New members: Barnard, Clark, Dutra Staff: Trinidad, Rizzo, B. MINUTES - Approval of Minutes of 7/6 and 7/20/92 Pierce/Crotty C. POSTING OF THE AGENDA Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda for this meeting was properly posted on 7/9/92. D. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Crotty nominated Swan for Chairperson. Elected 3-0. Postponed election of Vice-chair and secretary until next meeting. Pierce/Crotty 4-0. A. DR-90-082, LOT 3, TRACT 7770 Secretary Trinidad made a report to the Commission and recommended approval of the improvement. Owner, Phil Williams, reviewed history. Motion to approve: Crotty/Miller. 4-0. B. RAVENWOOD PARK PUBLIC WORKSHOP Secretary Trinidad introduced Jeff Held/Lisa Kurasch. Lisa reviewed the physical limits of the site and explained the process for developing the Park - site analysis, development of "wish list", needs of people, site needs and development in phases. Commissioner Pierce requested an explanation of the physical limits of the site - 19,000 sq.ft (.4 acres) Public Hearing The following residents spoke to the Commission and fellow residents. Marcha Chamberlain - Discussed need for volunteer effort and requested that neighborhood children give input to site design. Jody Durket - Suggested that a group of neighborhood parents meet to develop "wish list" of items, including grass area, pathway, picnic area, small community garden, use of natural colors, wood play structure. Advised that neighbors will be holding a garage sale with proceeds for park development. Meg Caldwell - Cost to maintain after site is developed - $3000 per year. Need for drinking fountain. Charlie Enscone - Neighborhood does not want showplace, but nice community park. Charles Shaw - Sent note indicating negativity to the park during previous week. Stated that all age groups should be considered, not just for children. Ted Salah - Neighbor of proposed site expressed concern that rear might be hidden from the street. Site should be graded to remove slope when his is done in January/February, 1992. Expressed concern to satisfy all age groups. Interested in side yard fence. Secretary Trinidad mentioned possibility of good neighbor fence. Heid/Kurasch summarized list and desire to present conceptual drawings at November meeting. V. COMMUNICATIONS A.
