I. ROUTINE ORGANIZATION
4. Roll Call
Present: Landsness~ Tyrrell, Koepernik~ Ansnes
Absent: Heidi Cameron, Voester (all excused)
Staff: Young

M/S EOEPERNIK/TYRRELL to approve minutes as submitted.
Carried 3-0.
II. NEW BUSINESS
Review of Village PZan
S. Landsmesa gave a brief background on the status of the plan.
V. Young stated the plan now needed to be reviewed by the Planning
Commission and City Council. R. Tyrrell expressed concern that
the Heritage Commission have a chance to review it and make
recommendations on it to Council.
8. Review of Oar%iliad Local Government Program
The Commission discussed the benefits of participating in the
program: particularly the possibility of obtaining funding for'
preservation-related projects in Saratoga. V. Young said she
thought the City could participate at the 'threshold" level,
M/S ~NSNES/KOPERNIK to direct Staff to oroceed with the
application to participate in the program. Carried 4-0.
C. Oiscussion of Heritage Invemtory
V. Young stated that in order to participate ~n ~he CL$ program~
the Oity's survey would need to be done in accordance with state

standards and on state survey forms. She said she had contacted
the State Office of Historic Preservation and that they would be
sending a survey workbook and blank forms.
The COMmiSSiO~i then decided to go ahead and continue working on
the survey. fhey also decided to add the Warner-Hutton house as
inventory item 8?6. Under discussion on the Warner-Hutton house,
S. Landsnes~ said the Oouncil would be discussing it at the
meeting that evening. The Commission discussed the possibility of
setting up a non-profit foundation to support and maintain the
house.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:3S p.m. The next regular
Meeting will be held on Wednesdey~ November S~ 198G at 3:00
p.M.
