A. Roll Call

8. Approval of Minutes of S-8-87
The minutes were unanimously approved with one spelling
correction - on Item 1I-8, ~21, "Oarder" wa~ changed to
"Carter",
C. Posting of Agenda
It wa~ noted that the agenda had been posted in Council
Chambers on Friday, May 29, 1987.
D. Oral and Written Communicationm
8. Yoester noted a phone call she had received from the
owner of the William King house (14672 Oak Street),
regarding difficulty in obtaining insurance for the house
since its designeton as a landmark. She also mentioned
ongoing concerns being expressed to her by the owners of
the Natdie House on Sixth Street regarding difficulty in
building pmrMlt processing. She also men~ioned that
Council member Glavenger had given her information on
historic preservation activities in Charleston, South
Oarcline.
II. OLD BUSINESS
A. Heritage Resources Inveqtory
The Commission discussed the fact thai their FY 87-88
budget request for $1B00 for part-time help to complete
the inventory had not been approved by the City Manager.
The Commission decided thai they would try to complete
~he fOrMS eS best they could, then have them edited for
format end correctness. Chairman Held agreed to approach
the City Manager regarding using the $800 in the current
budget,
The Commission then went through inventory forms 28-32,
checking informerion and completeness.
NEW BUSINESS
~. Letter of appreciation to vo!un~eer Heather Wilson.
V. Young noted that Minutes clerk Heather Wilson had gone
to England for the summer and would probably not return
as · volunteer. M/S Ansnes/Leodsness to send a letter of
appreciation to Heather, thanking her for her volunteer
assistance for 6 Months.
8. Heritage Commission budget, FY 87-88
The Commission discussed the memo on budget information
provided by Planning Director H~ia. 8. Voester brought
up the issue of fees for preservation-related permits,
and the Commission msked that it be agendized for the
next Meeting so a decision could be Made.
