Passed unanimously.
C. Posting of Agenda
Staff noted the agenda was posted at City Hat1 on Friday~
October 16, 1987
Oral and Uritten Communications
The Coewqission reuiewed the letter in the packet from
Hancv Kirk regarding trees on LaPalo~a Rue. Co~Hissioner
Heid briefed the Coe~ission on the status of the trees.
The ComMission agreed that a response letter to Us. Kirk
~as in order, with a copy to City Engineer R, Shook.
Commissioner Held stated he had receiued a letter fro~ M.
Ste~os regarding a historic tree groue at Uest Oalley
College. He said he was unable to attend the ceremony on
October 10. Commissioner Held also shared a letter he
had receiued regarding Saratoga's status as a
bicentennial community.
U. Young read a letter from the Foothill Club thanking
the ConMissio,n for the bronze plaque.
Gene Za~betti spoke to the Commission briefly regarding
his upcoming application for heritage resource
designation of the Yeachef-SMiley House on Quito Road.
Commissioner Artshes briefed the Commission on a meeting
she had attended for the Cit~ Council and CoMmission

chairs. She stated the Planning Coe~ission was
interested in haulrig a Joint meeting with the Heritage
Coe~ission, perhaps with the use of a facilitator. U.
Young reported that the Citv Council and Planning
Con, ission had held a joint nesting that preuious CUshing
(October 20) and that a joint nesting with the Planning
and Heritage Co,nissions uould be scheduled for Oece~ber
or Januar9.
Co,nissioner Caneron reported on a discussion he had with
former Comissioner Jean Kuae~e regarding the old church
building in the Uillage.

R. Heritage Resource Plaques - Status Report
ComMissioner Held noted that the Foothill Club plaque had
been presented at their luncheon on October 13. and that
the Uontaluo plaque would be presented at their Nouenber
12 board meeting. Coe~issioner Landshess ui11 work on
coordination of presentation of the regaining plaques.
B. Heritage Resource Inuentory
The Commission conpleiad the reuiew of the forns. ending
with #70, Oddfellows building. They brief19 went through
sections 81 - 10 and #11 - 20 again. U. Young urged the
CoMnissioners to submit their corrected forms to her so
they couZd be typed into the co~puter and printed out for
final reuiew.
