Routine Organization A. Roll Call Present: Koepernik, Voester, Cameron, Ansnes Absent: Held, Landshess, Mitchell Staff: V. Young B. Approval of minutes of 2/1/89 Commissioner Voester asked that the words "in the near future" be added to her statement about exploring heritage lanes in the Burns/Marion area (page 2). M/S Cameron/Voester to approve the minutes of 2/1/89 as corrected. Passed unanimously. C. Posting of Agenda Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda was posted at City Hall on 2/10/89. D. Oral and Written Communications V. Young reminded Commissioners ArtSheS and Voester of the upcoming networking event at DeAnza on Friday. She also noted that the Colyars would like their bronze plaque presentation on Tuesday, February 21st; Young will notify Commissioners of the time. She also informed the Commission of two items coming up on the next agenda - a subdivision application for 20271 Merrick and designation application for 20600 Lomita. Commissioner Cameron reported that the design review application for 21120 Wardell Road was scheduled for Planning Commission review on 2/22/89. The application now involves a variance to the 26 ft. height limit for a portion of the new addition that ties to the existing house. V. Young reported that staff was recommending approval of the variance for reasons relating to the historic architectural integrity of the house. Roy will attend the Planning Commission meeting next week in case any questions come up. Heritage Preservation Commission Minutes - 2/15/89 Page 2 Commissioner Ansnes reported that she attended the Council/Commission chairs/staff meeting last week on Chair Heid's behalf; the meeting focused on the Council's upcoming policy development conference. II. Old Business A. Title Searches Status Report Secretary Young reported that she had not received any information yet, but would forward it to Commissioners when it came in. B. CLG Grant Application - information only The Commission commended Young for the grant application; she will advise them when notification of the awards is given. Commissioner Cameron felt that the preview property forms should be completed in time to put them into the Inventory publication, with concurrence from the Commission. C. Heritage Ordinance Revisions - update Young reported that the Council had continued this item to their March 1st meeting, and allowed Commissioner Anses to continue serving at least until the new ordinance was effective.
