She noted that she had not had any recent conversations with Mr. Fine regarding the application. II. Old Business A. Heritage Bike Ride - subcommittee report Subcommittee members Koepernik and Davis provided an update on the heritage bike ride, to be held Sunday, September 17. A map of the routes was shown as well as the location of the properties selected for stops on the route. Commissioner Landsness stated that she still had the green banners from the house tour that could be placed in front of the homes. Commissioner Peck stated that even though the bike ride was the same day as a Foundation event, there should not be a conflict because the event starts at 2:00 p.m. V. Young noted that there would be caps as "giveaway" items instead of t-shirts, and that there would be a drawing for prizes instead of the poker game; the Recreation Department staff is preparing the registration information for the brochure. Commissioners Davis and Koepernik felt the t-shirt would be a better item asked staff to reconsider the cap idea. They will follow-up in obtaining donations for prizes. B. Inventory Forms The Commission then worked on forms #All-A16. In regard to #A14, the Gill Residence, there was agreement that the house had been significantly altered, but everyone would view it before making the final decision on whether or not it should be on the Inventory. Commission Peck will check to see if there is an historical association of this site with an old nursery nearby. In regard to #A15, V. Young distributed copies of an article on John Brown's family in California(given to her by Commissioner Cameron) which claimed that this property was the home of one of his daughters, Sarah. This information will be added to the form, and Commissioner Peck will try to verify the location of all the Brown family residences in Saratoga. He will also check the date of construction of property #A16 and its historical associations. V. Young reminded those who had not yet completed their forms to submit them to her by July 31 so they could be put in the next packet.
