B. Approval of Minutes of 12/5/90
M/S Davis/Cameron to approve the minutes of 12/5/90.
Motion PaSSed unanimously.
C. Posting the Agenda
Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda was posted at
City Hall on 1/4/91.
D. Oral and Written Communications
Commissioner Mitchell informed the Commission that Mr. Ebner's
application to subdivide his property was approved by the City
Council.
Davis reported to the Commission regarding the last meeting
of the Open Space Task Force. The topic of the meeting was
the expansion of the City's Sphere of Influence. At the Task
Force Leering Davis emphasized the historical link of
surrounding hills to Saratoga's lumbering industry. Davis
also reported that the next Task Force meeting will include
a discussion regarding historical/cultural open spaces.
Staff reported that Mr. Larry Fine informed staff that the
property at 14065 Saratoga Avenue had been used and occupied
by the army during World War II. Commissioner Mitchell is
assigned to research the history of this property. He may
contact Gene Zambetti. Commissioner Peck added that he can
also direct commissioner Mitchell to another person who can
be a good resource for historical events in that era.
The Commission was very satisfied with the proposed list. The
other Commissioners will think ofother names to be added to
the list. Staff will send the list to the County
Communication Department for approval. The list should be
reviewed and updated from time to time.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m. The next meeting will
be on February 6th at 8:30 a.m.
