D. Oral and Written Communications
Commissioner Davis reported that there are two large wine
barrels on the hillside Paul Masson Winery ground. The City
should consider relocation and preservation of the barrels as
a reminder of the historic wine industry. The former Masson
winery, the Village area, the Historical Park and Blaney Plaza
are examples of appropriate sites for replacement of the
barrles.
With reference to the letter from the City Council regarding
the next two year budget, Davis asked if the Commission wishes
to add new items to be considered by the Council in planning
the budget. At this time, the Commission has no additional
items to propose for the budget considerations.
Secretary Adar presented a request of the owner's
representative of the property at 19474 Burgundy Way,asking
the Commission to clarify which of the structures on the
property is included in the Historic Resource Inventory. The
owner wishes to find out if the one-story single family
dwelling at the south-most portion of the property is historic
and whether or not it can be demolished.

The Commission confirmed that the structure in question is not
an historic structure and has no objection to demolition.
II. OLD BUSINESS
A. Process of Naming Streets
The Commission reviewed and approved the revised process chart
and the report to the City Council regarding naming streets.
This item is on the Council's 2/6/91 agenda.
B. Revised Fence Ordinance for the Heritage Lane
The Commission reviewed and approved the revised ordinance.
Secretary Adar notified the Commission that the application
for designation of Saratoga Avenue was continued to April 10th
meeting to allow the City Engineer time to complete the
traffic study. The City Horticulturist's report is under
preparation. Commissioner Koepernik suggested that Bob Rizzo,
the parks and Buildings Superintendent, will also review the
tree maintenance issue on Saratoga Avenue.
Davis said that other streets within the City should be
considered as scenic views and historic ways. Davis suggested
that a discussion regarding historic ways and sites be
included in the Commission's next meeting agenda.
III. NEW BUSINESS
A. Review of Proposed Street Name Change off Bohlman Road
The Commission reviewed and approved the proposed street name,
Hidden View Lane, for a court off Bohlman Road which currently
has Bohlman Road name and addresses.
Secretary Adar mentioned that there is a fee of $250 per
dwelling unit for processing applications for street name and
address changes.
B. Application for Exterior Remodeling of a Historic
Building at 14413-14415 Big Basin Road
The proposed remodeling is required by the Building Department
in order to reinforce the exterior side walls. The
reinforcement of the right side brick wall is proposed along
the interior side of the wall. The existing brick wall will
be preserved but the work may affect the old interior ceiling.
The reinforcement of the left side wall is proposed along the
exterior side of the wall. The left side wall is fairly
screened from view by adjacent buildings and the proposed
