Gary Coats of Coats Consulting
Sisters of Mercy/Crowe11 House - The meeting of January 12
was adjourned to the proposed subdivision site for further
examination of the inventory structure. After a tour of the
house, a discussion ensued regarding the relative historical
merit of the home. The consensus among the Commissioners was
that the structure had lost much of its historical integrity
by being added onto and modified over time. A motion was
proposed, M/S Peepari/Fine, to recommend that the Planning
Commission support the subdivision as submitted, which shows
the Crowell House on a separate parcel, and to deal with the
disposition of the home with the future owners. The motion
also contained the request that the applicant provide to the
HPC a photographic survey of the house and site in the event
that the home is eventually~ demolished. The motion passed
unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 am.
