ROUTINE ORGANIZATION A. Roll Call Present: Koepernik, Fine, Ansnes, Sabin, Peck Absent: Davis, Peepari Staff: city Manager Peacock, Engineer Perlin, Director Curtis, Planner Riggs Guests: Mr. Jim Hemmann and Mr. Jim Horner of Jim Hemmann Associates B. Posting of Agenda Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2, the agenda was posted at City Hall on 9/11/92. I. NEW BUSINESS A. Review of the Caltrans landscape plans for the Warner Hutton House. Mr. Jim Hemmann presented a Schematic Plan, a Master Plan incorporating the "garden design" and an overlay of additional garden features which could be incorporated in the plan. The discussion focused on prioritizing elements of the Master Plan that could be included in the schematic Plan as the budget will allow: (a) Steps from patio to lawn (b) Northside decomposed granite pathway (c) Extend brick paving to full extent on south side of house (d) Plants on slope west of patio (e) Plants near the southside screening the parking lot (f) Orchard area and northside planting (g) South entry picket fence (h) Bike rack and bench at south entry (i) Electric conduit and pull boxes for future lighting needs The plans presented at the meeting require review and approval by the State Historic Preservation Office. Final plans will be submitted to the Heritage Commission and the City for final comments within the next two weeks. Plans will include the Schematic Plan and the priority list. The City will forward copies of the plans on to the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Caltrans Heritage Preservation Minutes September 16, 1992 Page 2 hopes to begin planting next month.
