' MINUTES Date: Tuesday, April 9, 1996, 9 a.m. Place: Wamer Hutton House, 13777 Fruitvale Avenue Type: Regular Meeting !. Routine Organization A. Roll Call Present: Dutro, Fine, Peepari, Wyman Absent: Cutler, Koepemilk, Peck Guest: Carolyn King Staff: Secretary White B. Approval of minutes dated 3/12/96 The minutes were unanimously approved as submitted, M/S Fine/Dutm. C. Posting of the Agenda Pursuant to Government Code Section 94954.2, the agenda was posted at City Hall on Friday, April 5. D. Oral and Written Communications 1. Commissioner Fine reported on his observations at a recent Public Safety Commission Hearing where Saratoga Avenue was the general subject of discussion. it was his view that the Heritage Lane portion of the Road was not a primary Issue in this discussion. Commissioner Fine also indicated that he had corresponded with Mayor Jacobs as a private citizen regarding the traffic and speed on the Heritage Lane. Mayor Jacobs indicated that this letter would be reviewed at a future City Council meeting. 2. Commissioner Wyman reported briefly on the upcoming California Preservation Conference and the possible need for additional volunteers. She also indicated that she had invited Mayor Jacobs to be her guest at the opening ceremonies of the conference. 3. Commissioner Wyman invited any interested Commissioners to tour the new Main Library building in San Francisco and to lunch at the culinary academy which is housed in a historic building. !!. Old Business :~ None. !11. New Business A. Discussion of agenda items for the joint meeting with the City Council. After general discussion it was decided to focus on two issues for the meeting with the City Council: I. Draft Development Review Policy for ministerial type projects. 2. The application of CEQA as it relates to Historical Resources. These Items would be discussed further at the May HPC meeting. IV. Items Initiated by the Commission None. V. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned to Tuesday, May 14 at 9 am. hpcmapr
