I. Routine Organization
A. Roll Call
Present: Dutro, Fine, Koepemik, Peck, Wyman
Absent: Peepari
Staff: Secretary White
Guest: Mr. Passantino
B. Approval of minutes dated 6/11/'96
The minutes were unanimously approved as submitted, M/S Fine/King.
C. Posting of the Agenda
Pursuant to Government Code Section 94954.2, the agenda was posted on Wednesday, July 3.

II. Old Business
None.
III. New Business
A, Discussion of Heritage Preservalion Commission Work Program for 1996-97
Staff was directed to proceed immediately with an evaluation of possible changes to the Heritage
Ordinance, including a demolition provision. A sub committee of Commissioners Wyman and King was
formed to assist in this task.
Staff was also directed to investigate the cost and feasibility of brick pavers for the entry to the Warner
Hutton House and to draft and send a letter Io each inventory property regarding the Mills Act.
The Commission would ruminate on a possible list of historic marker recipients for discussion at the next
meeting.
B. Site Visit/Meeting with Representatives of the Claravale Dairy Preservation Project.
(Note: At this point the Commission will adjourn to the site of the Claravale Dairy on Bicknell
Road in the City of Monte Sereno.)
The Commission gathered at the dairy property and were given a guided tour of the facility. The
Commission expressed general support for the efforts to save this historic resource. The treasurer of the
dairy preservation project, Keith Emmons, requested that he be allowed to address the Commission at the
next regular meeting.

The meeting was adjourned to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13.
