SD-i~6 TP~CT 2723 The Clerk distributed waps of the proposed 13 l~t subdivision SD-176 on Jetties Drive and stated that tt has been approved by the ~'. 2725 Saratoga Planning Commission and all conditions have been met. He Forest explained that the Planning Commission had granted a variance for one 1. or which did not meet the required depth. Counci]m~n Harmnan moved, seconded by Councilman Drake to adopt Resolution SD-176-1~ approving fin~! map of Tract 2725, Saratoga Forest. Motion carried ananimeusly. B. SDR-261 THObL~S A. WILBERDING · T.~e Clerk read the conditions of tentative approval and stated SDR-261 W11berding that all have been met, Counci]~- Drake moved, seconded by CouncLlman Hart~an to adept Resolution SDR-261-i, appr~xing building site of Thomas A. Wtlberding for one lot on Sobey Road. Motion carried unavtmeusly. VI ADMINISTRATIVE ~L%TTERS A. MAYOR i.C.C. Meyer announced ;'ha~ the Inter-Ct~y Council will met at Sabella's Mtg. in Sunnyvale M~ch 2 at 7:00 P. M. B. FINANCE Finapse Councilman Drake n~7?ed, seconded by Councilman Gleralou to approve the bills as listed in the amount of $2548.96 and direct that warrants be dr&~n in pa}~nent. Motion carried unanimously. Recess and Reconvened C. COF~DITTEES (1) Councilman Clennon reported that it is again time to compile Annual da~a for t.hs aanual report and, after discussion, the Mayor Repor~ directed that the City Aam~uistrator prepare a list of items that should be considered for the report and submit it by the next meeting. (2) Gruncilman Langwtll of the Public Works Ca~m~ttee reported A~gonsut School on the Argonaut Elementary School drainage problem and Drainage indicated that progress is being made. Surplus (3) Councilman Drake introduced the report of the Finance fund s~udy Committee regarding investment of surplus city funds, and reviewed the study conducted by the City Administrator. After discussions Councilman Drake moved that the City Advu~nistratot be authorized to instruct the City Treasurer to i~'.yast surplus city funds in such a way as to take advantage of Defense Bonds Series E and Series H and that the remainder of funds be deposited in approx4~,tely equal amounts with the three local banks presently conductin~ business in the City of Saratoga. This distribution applies to surplus funds only and does not include the General Warrant Account. Gleanon seconded the motion; carried unanimously. D. DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS The Director of Public Works reported that the proposed plan for HelTimRn replacement Of existing tlerrtman Avenue bridge has been rejected A-~enue Bridge by the State and the Council discussed the history of the proposals as l. xell as the Stnte~s and Flood Control Dlstrict~s plnn~o The }L~yor ordereds withou~ abjections that ~he ma~ter be held over to the nex~ meeting for a report from the D~xector a~ 1~blic ~orlcs ands in the inter~s he be directed to contact the Design Rngineer and Flood Cont_~ol for further opinions regarding the proposal under study. CII~{ ADMINISTRATOR (1) After study of a preli~/nary landscap!n~ plan for the CiTfe Center~ ~he Council concurred tha~ the City Administrator oh- Canter - Landscapin~ rain cost figures of the plan. It was pointed out that the plm~ would not require major alterations when other civic cente~ bu~ldin~s are constructed.
