ORGANIZATION A. - ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen Kraus, Smith, Robbins, Bridges and Dwyer Absent: None The minutes of January 5, 1972 meeting were approved as written. II. BIDS AND CONTRACTS A. . WILDWOOD PARK LAKE DEBRIS BASIN 1. Agreement with' Flood Control DiStrict to share engineering 'cost was ordered re-agendized with !"starting date" to be changed to "completion date." 2. ADMINISTRATIVE MA'rA'EHS A. MAYOR The Mayor reported on his tril~ to Taiwan and Japan and on preliminary steps he took toward establishing a sister city relationship with a Japanese city. B. FINANCE 1. Payment of Claims Approved llst of disbursements dated January 19, 1972 and authorized Mayor to sign the warrants. 2,3- City Clerk's Financial Report and Treasurer's Report Noted and filed~ C. COUNCIL CO~Ni'rrEES AND COMMISSION REPORTS 1. Councilman Smith reported on the Recycling Center and urged Study of an area-wide recycling program~ Re will contact councilman in the West Valley cities and will. keep the Council informed about his progress. 2. Councilman Dwyer reported on attendance at the Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board meeting at which the Board ga~e a low priority rating to contract cities study. B. The Parks and Recreation Commission made the recommendat'ion that the City participate in the development of a recreational area at Redwood School. Mayo~ Robbins referred this matter~ to the Management Committee ~nd Ithe Planning and Environmental Com- mittee. · : Parks and Recreation CommiSsion recommendation that Council take immediate ~teps to ~cquire a Central Park site was noted by Council. · D. DEPARTMEET ~EADS AND OFFICERS 1. Director' of Pu*b~ic Works ,!announCed that the bids on the · , Corporation Yard buil.ding were opened and that the price was well within the estimated cost. The low bid resulted in a cost to the City 'o~' $13,1'58.38. 2. Gary Bonfiglio ~eported t~hat the Village Study Task Force had formed subcommittees on Circulation and~ Parking~ and was moving ahead on the study program. 3.
