Present: Councilmen Bridges, Diridon, Dwyer, Kraus and ~mith
Absent: None
II. BIDS AND CONTRACTS
A. TERMINATION OF AGREE}aNT WITH YOUTH CENTER, INC., AND ACCEPTING
ASSETS AND LIABILITIES FOR OPERATION OF SARATOGA YOUTH CENTER
The City Manager presented a report from Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Co.,
which outlined the assets and liabilities of the Saratoga Youth Center, Inc.
After explaining the information, he indicated that it was anticipated that
this document would be used as Exhibit "A" for the proposed Resolution
Terminating the Existing Lease Agreement with the Saratoga Youth Center, Inc0
and Accepting Its Assets and Liabilities.
After considerable discussion regarding this report, it was moved by
Councilman Diridon and seconded by Councilman Bridges that the City terminate
the agreement with Saratoga Youth Center, Inc., effective September 18, 1972,
and effective that same date, the City of Saratoga assume the assets and
liabilities outlined for the Youth Center and operate said program according
to the Budget presented by the City Manager.
III. PETITIONS, ORDINANCES & FOR~tAL RESOLUTIONS
A. REQUEST FROM RESIDENTS OF. MERRIBROOK COURT FOR STREET CLOSURE FOR
A "GET-ACQUAINTED" PICNIC
The City Manager presented a request by four residents of Merribrook Court
for the closure of the street from 4:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. on Saturday,
September 16, 1972, for the purpose of having a "ge~-acquainted" picnic
on this cul-de-sac.
After a brief discussion, it was moved and seconded that this request be
approved.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned to the Committee of the Whole Meeting at 8:45 P.M.
