BIDS AND CONTRACTS A.Modification to Agreement with Hatoyama and Associates for Hakone Garden Restoration The City Manager reviewed the report from the Director of Community Services concerning this matter as continued by the City Council from its meeting on April 19. There was some concern by the Council that we should pay the additional cost as outlined by Mr. Hatoyama raising the cost to a~proximately $t0%200. After further discussion, the City Manager suggested that he be allowed to negotiate an agreement with Mr. Hatoyama that would fall within the context of the amount budgeted of approximately $8,000. If this meant having to eliminate the viewing platforms and bridges as part of this then we would try to do this. If we ran .into a problem beyond this point I would bring this matter back to the City Council for further action.
