SARATOGA CITY COUNCIL
TIME: Monday, June 5, 1978 5:30 P.M.

TYPE: Adjourned Regular Meeting
I. ORGANIZATION
The Mayor called the meeting to order for the Adjourned Regular
Meeting at 6:10 P.M.
Roll Call:
Present: CSuncilmen Kraus, Callon, Corr, Matteoni, Kalb
Absent: None
II. CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION 85-9.36
The purpose of the meeting.was to discuss the proposed Memorandum
of Understanding and the adoption of Resolution 85-9.36 approving
that Memorandum of Understanding with the Saratoga Employee's
Association.
The Assistanf City~Manager , Jim Hendrickson reviewed the proposs!s
in the Agreement with the City Council.
Councilwoman Callon asked several questions concerning the sick
leave provisions in the program. Councilman Kalb expressed some
concerns over the pr6Vi~ionarele~nt'to health durin~ the' second
year of the proposed agreement,
After further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Matteoni
seconded by Councilwoman Corr that Resolution 85-9.36 amendinE
Resolutions 85-9 as'amended and 85-9.28 revising salary ranges,
personnel policy and fringe benefits for non-management em?!eyees
of the City of Saratoga be approved thus putting into effect
the Memorandum 8f Understanding dated June 5f 1978 between the
Management and Negotiating Committee and the Saratoga Employees
Association Negotiating Team.
The motion carried unanimously.
It was expressed, however, by the members of the Council thst
they did have concerns over the amount of the health increase
for the second year as well as ~he~uy-out-provi~ion 6nder the
sick leave program after 321 hours had been accumulated. They
asked the staff to monitor this element of the Memorandur~, of
Understanding for further consideration.
The meeting was then adjourned at 6:50 P.M.
