ROLL CALL - Councilmembers Clevenger, Jensen, Watson, and Mayor Callon present. (Councilmember Mallory arrived at 7:05 p.m. ) II. ~tR~ERAL PLAN REVISION PROCESS City Council received report from City Manager regarding procedures for revision to the S~ratoga General Plan. Following discussion of the report and recommenda- tions among councilmembers and ccrm~n{s from members of the General Plan Citizens Advisory Conmittee who were in attendance, the City Council moved to make certain r~Ddifications in the draft resolution recoamended to th~n, following which Jensen/ Cteven'ger moved to adopt Resolution 1005 as recc~mended with the amendments discussed. III. PRESENTATION OF INTERIM ORDINANCE FOR REGULATION OF HEI~FF, DESIGN AND BULK OF STRUCTURES The City Council took up the matter of the interim ordinance requiring design review of proposed single-family residential structures. Mr. Hal Toppel, of the City Attorney' s Office, provided a report on the legal basis and a description of the issues pertaining to the interim ordinance, followed by a presentation from Planning Director Robinson concerning the design standards that were contained in the ordinance. Councilmembers raised various questions ~oncerning the standards of the provisions by which the ordinance would apply to ex%sting applications and existing built homes. Several members of the audience made comnents regarding how such an ordinance would apply .to specific applications pending or would apply to conditions generally in the commlnity. April 21 to receive further staff reports and resolve any remaining issues .in the application or standards of the proposed ordinance.
