AN dRDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA FIXING THE AMOUNT OF THE BONDS
FOR THE CITY CLERK AND THE CITY TREASURER, AND REQUIRING A BLANKET'
FIDELITY BOND FOR CERTAIN OTHER OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to Government Code Section 36518 of the State of
'California~ the bond of the City Clerk of this City is
hereby fixed at $25,000.00 corporate surety~ and the bond of the City
~reasurer of this City is hereby fixed at the sum of $25,000.00
corporate surety~ and each such bond shall be approved by the City
Council.
Section 2: The Mayor, the Mayor pro tempore, the deputies of the
City Clerk and City Treasurer, and all other department
heads and their deputies, exclusiveLof the City Clerk and the City
Treasurer~ but including without limitation the Zoning Ad~inistrator,
the Planning DireCtor> the Administrative Aide~ the Chief Building
Inspector, and all city employees, ~hall from the effective date of
this ordinance be covered by a blanket primary commercial fidelity
bond in the sum of $10~000.00.
Section 3: The Clerk of the City o~ Saratoga is hereby authorized
and directed to secure said corporate surety bonds above
referred to and submit the same to the City Council for approval prior
to the effective date of this ordinance.
Section 4: Ordinance No. 2 of the City of Saratoga is hereby repealed.
Section 5: This ordinance shall b~come effective and be in full force
and effect on the 30th .day after the date of its passage
and adoption.
The above and foregoing ordinance was reguiarly introduced and after
the waiting time required by law was thereafter passed and adopted at
a regular meeting of the City CounCil of the City of Saratoga held on
the 15th day of ~u~ust , 1962, by the following vote:
AYES: Glennon, Drake> Hartman, Ri~chie
