AN INTERIM URGENC~ ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF "-
SARATOGA EXTENDING.FOR EIGHT MONTHS ORDINANCE
NO. 3E-16 "AN INTERIM URGENCY ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA IMPOSING A MORATORIUM
UPON THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS WITHOUT
PRIOR DESIGN REVIEW FOR CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL
STRUCTURES PENDING'REVIEW AND A~NDMENT OF
HEIGHT LIMITATIONS AND OTHER BUILDING RESTRICTIONS
PERTAINING THERETO" -
WHEREAS, on September 3, 1980, the City Cbunc'il of t~e
city of saratoga ordained and-adopted In'terim Urgency Ordinance
NB. 3E-16. , "An Interi~ Urgency Ordinance of the City of
SaratQga Imposing a Moratorium upon the issuance of Building
Permits Without Prior Design Review for Certain Residential
Structures Fending Review and A~endment of Height Limitations
and 'Other Buiiding. Restrictfons ~ertaining Thereto"; and
'WHEREAS, Section'10 of sa'id Interim Urgency Ordinance
states that said ordinance shall be of no further force and effect
four (4) months from the date 6f adoption'hereof unless extended
pursuant to the provisions of Section 65858 of-the Government Code
· ' of the State of California; and
.... WHEREAS, Government. Code Section 65858 permits ~aid-
Interim Urgency Ordinance.to be extended,for a p~riod of eight
months; and
WHEREAS,- s~id I~terim Urgency Ordinance No. 3E-16
was adopted for the lmmedia'te preservation of the public health,
" safety~and welfare by ~ohibit~ng the constructioh df improvements

WHEREAS, a' full review of the existing'Ordinances to
