HomeMy WebLinkAbout4A-19 ORDINANCE ~!0. ,,, ,4A-19 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 4-A OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA BY ADDING CHAPTER 7 TO TITLE 10 OF THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY ORDINANCE CODE THEREIN ADOPTED BY REFERENCE, PROVlDIN6 FOR TRAFFIC REGULATION BY RESOLUTION The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby ordain as follows:. SECTION l: Section 1.1 of Ordinance 4-A of the City of Saratoga is hereby amended by adding the following Chapter 7 to Title 10 of the : Santa Clara County Ordinauce Code therein adapted by references as fo, llows:; Chapter 7 - LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATION BY RESOLUTION 10.7.1-1: Application: This chapter shall constitute a local traff{c ordinance within the terms, purport and meazi- ing of Vehicle Code Section 21461 of the State of California. 10.7.1-2: Traffic. Re~ulation by Resolution: All rules and regulations authorized to be adopted by a local authority under the provisions of Article 3, Chapter I of: Division 11 of the Vehicle Code of the State of Californias as present- ly existing or as hereafter m. ended, may be adopted by resolution of the City Council of the City of Saratoga. The Director of Public Works shall, within a reasonable time after the adoption of any such rule 9r regulations cauae such traffic signs, signals, m~rkings or other traffic control devices giving the appropriate notice of such rule or regulation to be placed and maintained in accord with the provisions~ of Section 21351 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California. SECTION 2: If any sections subsection, sentence, Clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held by a court of c~petent Juris~ diction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the r~r,-ining portions of this ordinanca. The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby declares that it weuld have passed this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause end phrase thereof, irrespective of of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentcheese clauses or phrases be held invalid or unconstitutional.
