~j~ ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. ~-~ OF
THE CITY OF SARATOGA AND CREATING CEF~TAIN
ADDITIONAL NO PARKING AREAS ON CITY STREETS
The City Council of the qity of Saratoga does hereby
ordain as follows:
SECTION l: Section 1.1 ;of Ordinance ~-A of the City
of Saratoga is hereby amended by adding
to Section lO.1.8-2.1 of Title lO, Chapter l, Article
8 of the Santa Clara County Ordinance Code therein
adopted by reference the following designated streetsI
and highways or portionsl of the same in the City of
Saratoga which are hereby declared to be congested areas
and designated as "No Pairking" areas and subject
the prohibitions set for:th in Section 10.1.8-2 of said
Santa Clara County Ordin~ance Code:
NAME OF STREET DESCRIPTION
Oak Place Street and Saratoga- Beginning at the northeast corner
Los Gatos Road of Lot l, Block I of Saratoga Park
Lots thence along the northerly line
of Lot 1 West a :distance of 93-36 ft.
which line is also the Southerly line
of Oak Place Street - to an iron
pipe - thence on a southwesterly direc-
tion on a radius of 38.20 f tl-'a distance
of 89-38 ft. to a point which inter-
cepts Saratoga-Los Gatos ROad.
SECTION 2:. This ordinance is Hereby I'Veblared to be an
urgency and emergency measure, effective
immediately upon its passage and. adoption, and enacted for the
preservation of the public peace, health, safety, morals and wel-
fare and based upon the fact that vehicle drivers are constantly
parking vehicles on the heroinabove designated streets at the
heroinabove designated locstionslwhich prevents the proper movsnent
of traffic and causes congestion~ at said location. If for any
reason this ordinance does not qhalify as an emergency ordinance,
the same shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage
and adoption.
This ordinance was regularly introduced and after the waiting
time required by law, was thereafter passed and adopted this 2_~t
day of __~~ 1957 by the f611owing vote:
