AN ORDINANCE OF THE CiTY QF SARATOGA AMENDING
SECTION 1.1 OF ORDINANCE 4-A BY ADDING THERETO
BY REFERENCE SECTION 11.1o2-3.13 OF THE SA~NTA
CLARA COUNTY ORDINANCE CODE: REQUIRING LUMBER
TO BE IDENTIFIED BY AN APPROVED GRADE MARK OR
CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTION
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does ordain as
follows:
SECTION l:
Section 1.1 of Ordinance 4A of the City of Saratoga.
is hereby amended byeadding thereto by reference
Section 11.1.2-3.13 of the Santa Clara County Ordinance
Code which section states as follows:
Section 2501 is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following:
(e) Certificate*of Inspection: All species set
forth in Table No, 25-A shall be used only when iden-
tified bya gr~d~ mark of, or certificate of inspec-
tion issued by, ~n approved lumber grading or inspec-
tion bureau or agency.
The appr6ved g~ing ~gencies are: California Lumber
Inspection Service; A. M. ~kox inspection Service;
R. W. Hunt Inspection AgenCy; West Coast Bureau of
Lumber Grades & Inspection, West Coast Lumber Assoc.;
California Redwood Association; Pacific Lumber
Inspection Bureau; and Western Pine Association.
This ordinance was regularly introduced and after the waiting
time required by law was thereafter passed and adopted this l~tb day
of January , 19 ~8 , by the following vote:
AYES: Brazil, Langwill, Rosasco, WillJams
NOES: None
ABSENT: Jepsen
