HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-C ORDINANCE NO. 19-C AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES NECESSARY FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AND TO PAY ANY BONDED OR OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY, AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE ESTIMATED COSTS FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR FOR SCL DISTRICT 1 AND AZULE LIGHTING DISTRICT. The City Council Of the City of Saratoga does hereby ordain as follows: S~CTION l: The sum of $31,122.O0 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to support the departments of the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year and to pay any indebtedness of said city. SECTION 2: The sum of $3,53~.OO is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the cost of "SCL District l" lighting district within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year and all of the lands exclusive of improvements within said district are hereby assessed in said total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefited by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of the street lighting system presently lo- cated in said district, in the proportiOn!that the assessed valuation of its land exclusive of improvements bears to the total assessed valuation of all the land, exclusive of improve- ments, of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct pro- portion to each's assessed valuation, exclusive of improvements. SECTION 3: The sum of $1,037.00 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the cost of "Azule LightSng District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year, and all of the land exclusiverof im- provements within said district are hereby assessed in said total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefited by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located in said district, in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its land exclusive of improvements bears to the total assessed valuation of air the ~and, exclusive of improvements, of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed valuation, exclusive of improvements. SECTIO~ 4~ This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon-its passage and adoption.
