AN ORDINANCE FIXING TIIE i\lOU~ OF REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES
~tCESSARY FOR TIIE SUPPORT OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF
SARATOGA FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AND TO PAY ANY BONDED OR OTHER
INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY, A~ FIXING TtlE AMOUNT OF REVENUE
SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE ESTImaTED COSTS FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR
FOR SCL DISTRICT 1, AZULE L~GHTING DISTRICT~ AND QUITO LIGHT-
ING DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The sum of $61,500.00 is hereby fixed as the amount~
of revenue from property taxes necessary. to.support
the departments of the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal
year and to pay any indebtedness o~ said city.
SECTION 2: The sum of $2,390.00 is hereby fixed as the amount
of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the cost
of "SCL District 1" lighting district within the City of Saratoga
for the current fiscal year and all of the lands exclusive of
improvements within said district are~hereby assessed in said
total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefi~ed
by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current and
the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located
in said district, in the proportion that the assessed valuation
of its land exclusive of improvements bears to the total as-
sessed valuation of all the land exclusive of improvements~
of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is
hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion
to each's assessed valuation~ exclusive of improvements.
SECTION 3: The sum of $1,731.00 is hereby fixed as the amount
of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the cost
of "Azule Lighting District" within the City of Saratoga for
the current fiscal year, and all of the land exclusive of im-
provements within said district are hereby assessed in said
total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be b~nefited-
by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current and
the maintenance of the street lighting system presently lo-
cated in said district, in the proportion that the assessed
valuation of its land exclusive of improvements bears to the
total assessed valuation of all the land, exclusive of improve-
ments, of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and
is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion
to each's assessed valuation, exclusive of improvements.
SECTION 4: The sum of $4,260.00 is hereby fixed as the amount
of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the cost
of "Quito Lighting District" within the City of Saratoga for
the current fiscal year, and all of the land exclusive of im-
provements within said district are hereby assessed in said
tonal sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefited
by =he improvement of the furnishing of electric current and
the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located
in said district, in the proportion that the assessed valuation
of its land, exclusive of improvements, bears to the total as-
., sessed valuation of all the land, exclusive of improvements, of
the entire district~ and said assessment shall be and is hereby
prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion to caches
assessed valuation, exclusive of improvements.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall ~ecome effective iwrnediateiy upon its passage and adoption.
The above ordinance was regularly introduced as was thereafKer passed
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Saratoga'held on the 21st day of August, 1968 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Tyler, Smith, Dwyer, Sanders
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Robbins
