AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT O~ REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXES
NECESSARY FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF
SARATOGA FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AND TO PAY ANY BONDED OR OTHER
INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY, AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE
SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE ESTIMATED COSTS FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR
FOR SCL DISTRICT 1t AZULE LIGHTING DISTRICT, AND QUITO LIGHTING
DISTRICT.
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The sum of $136,000,Q0 is hereby fixed as the amount
of revenue from property taxes necessary to support
the departments of the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal
year and to pay any indebtedness of said city.
SECTION 2: The sum of $3~600.00 is hereby fixed as the amount of
revenue necessary to be raised to pay the cost of "SCL
District 1" lighting district within the City of Saratoga for the
current fiscal year and all of the lands exclusive of improvements
within said district are hereby assessed in said total sum, each par-
cel hereby being declared to be benefited by the improvement of the
furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of the street light-
ing system presently located in said districtt in the proportion that
the assessed valuation of its land exclusive of improvements bears to
the total assessed valuation of all the land exclusive of improvements~
of the entire district~ and said'assessment shall be and is hereby prorated
over all of said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed valuatio~
exclusive of improvements.
SECTION 3: The sum of $2,100.00 is hereby fixed as the amount of
revenue necessary to be raised topay the Cast of "Azule
Lighting District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal
year~ and all of the land exclusive of improvements within said District
are hereby assessed in said total sum~ each parcel hereby being declared
to be benefited by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current
and the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located in
said distrlct~ in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its
land exclusive of improvements bears to the total assessed valuatioh of
all the lande exclusive of improvements~ of the entire dtstrict~ and
said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels
in direct proport~dn to each's assessed valuation~ exclusive of improvements.
SECTION 4: The sum of $4~200.00 is hereby fixed as the amount of
revenue necessary to be raised to pay the cost of "Quito
Lighting District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal
year~ and all of the land exclusive of improvements within said district
are hereby assessed in said total sumt each parcel hereby being declared
to be bonefired by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current
and the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located in
said district~ in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its land~
exclusive of improvements~ bears to the total assessed valuation of all
the land~ exclusive of improvements~ of the entire district~ and said
assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in
direct proportion to each's assessed valuationt exclusive of improvements.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
The above ordinance was regularly introduced and was thereafter passed
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga
held on the 20th day of August, 1969, by the follo~ing vote:
AYES: Councilmen Tyler, Robbins, Dwyer, Smith and Sanders
