AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
REQUESTING INCLUSION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY
WITHIN SAID CITY, .IN THE SARATOGA FIRE DISTRICT
WEEAS, t~ere exists within the City Of saratoga a Local
Fire District, known as the Saratoga Fire District, and there also
exists within said City certain~territory not .within the boundaries
of any Fir~ District, but which~sz/contiguous to said Saratoga
Fire District, and,
WHEREAS, request has be~n made to this Council by said
Saratoga Fire District to chang? its boundaries to include all of
the area more particularly described on Exhibit "A" attached heretO
and incorporated herein by reference, into said .Saratoga Fire District,
and,
L WHEREAS,'pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 14022
of the State of California, said saratoga Fire District has elected
tO come under the provisions of!Part 2.7, Division 12 of the Health
and Safety Code of the State ofi Oalifornia,:known as 'the Fire
Protection District Law of 1961~,'and,
WHEREAS, on'the 7th day' of December, 1964, the inclusion
of the area shown on Exhibit "An attached hereto into the Saratoga"
Fire District, was approved by ~he Boundary Commission of the
County of Santa Clara, and on the 5th day of January, 1965, the
said same area was, by ResolutiOn No: 65T20, approved to be included
within the Saratoga Fire Distri!ct by the Santa Clara COunty Local
Agency Formation Commission, and,
WHEREAS, under and by virtue of the provisions. of the ~ire
Protection District Law of 1961, this Council is desirous of causing
the inclusion of said land in the'Saratoga Fire District under the
provisions of Health and Safe~y Cod~ SectiOn 13948 of th'~ !Sta~e of
California,
NOW, THEREFORE,.the Cit'y Council of the City of Sarat.o~a
does hereby ordain as follows: · ~-.
Section l: The District Board of the Saratoga Fire District
is hereby!requesteditO include within its
boundaries all that real propeTty more particularly described and
delineated 'onExhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference, which lands Constitute ~ portion of the. City of
Saratoga, and said District Board of Fire Commissioners is hereby
requested to approve said inclusion forthwith.
The above and foregoing ordinance was regularly introduced,
and after the waiting time required by law was thereafter passed
and adopted at a regular meeti~g of the City Council of the City
of Saratoga held on the 3rd d~y of March , 1965,
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Drake, Hartman Tyler, Burry
NOES: None ~

RESOLUTION NO. 65-20 RELATING TO THE PROPOSED
NORTHWEST NO. 1 . 'ANNEXATION
TO SARATOGA FIRE DISTRICT ..
BE IT RESOLVED by the Santa Clara County Local Agency
Formation Commission that it does hereby
approve
as described by Exhibit A attached, the proposed
Northwest No. 1 annexation
to Saratoga Fire District Further proceed-
ings in connection with this annexation may be continued only
in compliance with the approved boundaries described in
Exhibit A.

Formation Commission this January 5, 1965,
by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners; Clayton, Taylor, Wilson
