AN ORDINANCE ~PPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED AS "HAKONE
GARDENS", TO THE CITY OF SARATOGA
The City Council of the'City of SaratOga does hereby
ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 7th dayof December, 1966, the City
Council of the City of Saratoga did pass and adopt Resolution
No. 347, initiating proceedings~on the Council's own motion to
annex certain uninhabited territory to said City, said territory
being therein designated as "Hakone Gardens", said Resolution
describing the boundaries of territoryproposed to be annexed,
and said resolution containing ~he notice of the day, hour and
place when and where the Council would hear protests made by any
person owing real property within the territory proposed to be
annexed, and said resolution finding'that the Local Agency
Formation Comm{ssion of the County of Santa Clara had theretofore
properly approved Said annexation, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution,'0n the. 18th day
of January, 1967, at'the hour of 8:00 o'Clock P.M. thereof, in
the Council chambers of the Cit~ of Saratoga, the said CoUncil
did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation,
and did determined by resolution No. 347-A that a majority
protest had not been made in a~cord with the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1~39, and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous,to the City of '
Saratoga and is uninhabited territory in'the-County of Santa
Clara, State of California,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Saratog~_.~
does hereby find that said proeest hearing has been conducted in.
accordance with the law, and that due and legal notice of all
steps and proceedings under this annexation proceeding have
been given as required by law, and said City Council does
hereby approve the annexation of. the territory hereinafter
described tO the City of Saratoga, and does hereby further ordain
that said territory be and the same is hereby annexed to the
City of Saratoga. Said territo~ry, the annexation of which to the
City of Saratoga is hereby apprbved, is all that territory
situated in the County of Santa. Clara, State ~f California
and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect thirty' (30) days after the date of its passage and
adoption.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was regularly introduced
on the 18th day of January, 196.7, and after the waiting time
· required by law, was thereafter~ passed and adgp~d on the 1st
day of Februar7 :, 1967, by the following .vote:
