AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF'SARATOGA DECLARING
NECESSITY FOR THE CONSTRU~TiON OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS,
TO-WIT, A PUBLIC LIBRARY, ON LANDS ACQUIRED GENERALLY
FOR PARK PURPOSES.
The City Council of the Cit~ of Saratoga does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section 1: It is hereby found, declared and determined
that it is necessary to use the hereinafter described parcel
of real property, which parcel was acquired generally for
public par~purposes, for the construction of public buildings
thereon, to-wit, construction of buildingsEto house a public
library.
It is further found and declared that the location
of the public library, design of the building, and the balance
of said parcel of real property not used for the actual constr-
uction of public buildings for said public library can still be
used for and can be and will be compatible with public park
purposes of the entire site.
Section 2: The real property hereinabove and herein
referred to is that certain 4.11'acre more or less parcel
of real property located at the gore of Fruitvale and Saratoga
Avenues in this City, which realZproperty is more particularly
d~lineated as the shaded area on Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 3: This Ordinance is adopted under and by virtue
of the provisions of Government Code Section 37111 of the State
of California.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was regularly introduced
at a regular meeting of the City~Council of the City of Saratoga,
and thereafter, after the waiting time required by law, was passed
and adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting.7
