HomeMy WebLinkAbout71 ORDIN~&,ICE NO. 71 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA ADOPTING A RECODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY ENTITLED "THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA, CALIFORNIA" AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CERTAIN ORDINANCES The City Council of the City of Saratoga does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council does hereby adopt that certain Code entitled "The Code of the City of Saratoga, California," consisting of Chapters 1 through 16, respectively entitled as follows: Chapter 1 - General Provisions Chapter 2- Administration Chapter 3 - Code Enforcement Chapter 4 - Business Regulations Chapter 5- Taxation Chapter 6 - Public Safety Chapter 7 - Health and Sanitation Chapter 8 - Hazardous Materials Chapter 9 - Motor Vehicles and Traffic Chapter 10- Streets and Sidewalks Chapter 11 - Parks and Recreation Chapter 12- Public Works Chapter 13- Heritage Preservation Chapter 14- Subdivisions Chapter 15 - Zoning Regulations Chapter 16 - Building Regulations SECTION 2: The following Ordinances of the City of Saratoga and aH amendments thereto are hereby repealed as of the effective date of this Ordinance: NS-3, NS-4, 11, NS-38, NS-60, 66 and 3E. 15. The Zoning Map and Equestrian Map together with aH amendments thereto, as adopted by the City of Saratoga, are not repealed by this Ordinance and said maps shay remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3: The repeal of certain ordinances as provided in Section 2 of this Ordinance shah not affect any offense or act committed or done or any punishment or penalty incurred or any contract or right established or accruing before the effective date of this Ordinance, nor any suit, prosecution or proceeding pending or any judgment rendered prior to the effective date of this Ordinance. SECTION 4: If any section of this Ordinance or any chapter, article, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of the Code hereby adopted is for any reason held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shah not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance or the Code hereby adopted. The City Council of the City of Saratoga declares that it would have passed this Ordinance and adopted the Code referred to herein irrespective of the fact that one or more chapters, articles, sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases thereof may be held invalid or unconstitutional.
