HomeMy WebLinkAbout71.61E-4 ORDINANCE NO. 71.61E-4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA REPEALING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 71.61E, AS AMENDED, PERTAINING TO TEMPORARY WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby ordains as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council finds and determines that: (a) The Santa Clara Valley Water District did, on May 10, 1994, adopt Resolution No. 94-36 which calls for water users to practice voluntary rather than mandatory efficient water use and to continue to avoid water waste during 1994 and the foreseeable future. (b) The City adopted Ordinance No. 71.61E on March 28, 1989, which set into place a series of temporary water use restrictions which are contained in Section 2 of said Ordinance, which Section has been amended from time to time as water conservation needs changed. (c) The Santa Clara Valley watershed area has now experienced average to above average rainfall over the past three winters making the need to continue the temporary mandatory water use restrictions no longer necessary. SECTION 2= Section 2 of Ordinance No. 71.61E, as amended by Ordinance No. 71.61E-1, Ordinance No. 71.61E-2, and Ordinance N6. 71.61E-3, is hereby repealed. SECTION 3: Except as herein amended, Ordinance No. 71.61E is declared to be in full force and effect.
