AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SARATOGA REPEALING ARTICLE 9-66 OF
AND ADDINGARTICLE 9-70 TO THE CODE OF.
THE CITY OF SAP/TOGA RELATING TO A
TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
The City Council'of ~he City of Saratoga does ordain as .....
follows:
Sect~on 1. Article 9-66 of ~he Code of ~he City of
Saratoga is hereby repealed.
Section 2. Article 9-70 is hereby addedto the Code of
the City of Saratoga, to read as follows:
"Article 9-70 Transportation Demand Management
Section 9-70,010 PURPOSE. The purpose of this Article is
to promote the development of Transportation Demand Management
(TDM) programs at employers~ worksites with 100 or more employees
during the morning peak traffic period to reduce traffic impacts
and improve air ~uality within the City, and to assure compliance
by the City with the Santa Clara County Congestion Management
Agency~s Congestion Management Program.
Section 9-70,020 IMPLEMENTATION.
(A) For purposes of Government Code Section 65089.3, the
implementation of trip reduction and travel demand requirements
within the City of Saratoga shall be through the administration,
implementation, and enforcement by the Bay Area Air Quality
Management District of District Regulation 13, Rule i ("Trip
Reduction Requirements for Large Employers").
(B) The City of Saratoga shall certify annually to the
Congestion Management Agency that subparagraph (A) of Section
9-g~.02Q remains in full force and effect."

Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty~I(30) days after its passage and adoption.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was regularly
introduced and after the waiting time required by law, was
thereafter passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
Council of Saratogaheld onthe 18th day of Ma~ ,
1994, by the following vote.
AYES: Councilmembers Anders6n, Burger, Kohler, Mohi.a and Mayor Tucker-_.=.,
NOES: None ·
