AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA AMENDING SECTION 15-30.100 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO THE PLACEMENT OF TEMPORARY SIGNS The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby ordains as follows: Section 1: Section 15-30.100 of the Code of the City of Saratoga, is hereby amended, by adding subsection (m), to read as follows: (m) Temporary signs or banners advertising special promotions or sales may be permitted, subject to approval by the Community Development Director, as follows: 1) Size: The maximum size of a temporary sign or banner is 40 square feet. 2) Location: Temporary signs or banners shall be affixed to a principal building and shall not project above the roof line of the building. 3) Duration: Temporary signs or banners may be displayed for a maximum of 42 days within a 6 month period. 4) Permit Required: An administrative permit (and accompanying fee) shall be required prior to the installation and/or display of a temporary sign or banner. 5) Exception: Temporary signs or banners will not be allowed in the Village or for gasoline service stations. Section 2: This Ordinance shall remain operative for a period of twelve (12) months from its effective date, after which it shall be of no further force and effect. Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption. The above and foregoing Ordinance was re~larly introduced and after the waiting time retired by law, was thereafter passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of Saratoga held on the 1St day of Nnv~mhpr , 1995, by the following vote.
