AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OP SARATOGA RELATING TO THE
APPOINTMENT OF THE CrfY CLERK POSITION, SEPARATE FROM
THAT OF CITY MANAGER
The City Council of the City of Santoga hereby ordains as follows:
Seerinn 1: Seaion 2.20-030 of the Saratoga City Code is hereby mended to
read as follows:
2-20.030 Manger to appoint Ci~ Clerk.
The City Manage shall appoint the City Clerk whose duty it shall be to
perform the statutory funetio~ of the office of City Clerk. The City Clerk may, with
the consent of the City Manager, designate deputies to pealotto the statutory
functions of the City. Clerk in the absence of the City Clerk.
~: Seaion 2-20.050C0) of the Saratoga City Code is hereby
repealed.
~: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days
after its passage and adoption.
The ab6ve and foregoing Ordinsmce was regularly introduced and after the
w~aithxg time required by law, was thereater passed and adopted at a rcgultr meeting
of the City Council of Saratoga held on the 17th dayof June ,199'8,
by the following vote.
AYES: Councilmembers Bogosian, Moran, Shaw, and r~ayor Wolfe
NOES:
None
ABSENT: Counci lmember Jacobs ~.,fl~
