ORDINANCE NO. 71-94
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA AMENDING
SECTION 9-15.090 OF THE CITY CODE CONCERNING
COMMERCIAL LOADING ZONES AND AMENDING
SECTION 9-15.100 OF THE CITY CODE
CONCERNING PASSENGER LOADING ZONES
The City Council of the Cityof Saratoga hereby ordains as
follows:
SECTION 1: Paragraph (d) of Sectfon 9-15.090 in Article 9-15 of
the City Code is amended to read as follows:
"(d) Designation of commercial loading zones. The
following described portions of the public streets in the City
listed below are declared to be congested areas designated as
commercial loading zones and subject to the restrictions of this
Section:
Saratoga/Los Gatos Road The west side of Saratoga/Los
Uatos Road from a point 56 feet
north of its intersection With
Oak Street, southerly to a point
39 feet north of the inter-
section with Oak Street.
Big Basin Way The northwesterly side of Big
Basin Way from approximately 163
feet southwesterly of the
centerline of FoUrth Street to
approximately 221 feet south-
westerly of said centerline of
Fourth Street.
Big Basin Way The northwesterly side of Big
Basin Way; Beginning approxi-
mately 353 feet southwesterly of
the intersection of the south-
westerly curbline of FoUrth
Street and the northwesterly
curbline of Big Basin Way, for a
distance of approximately 44
feet southwesterly.

Big Basin Way The northwesterly side of Big
Basin Way from a point measured
approximately 63 feet north-
· easterly from the centerline of
Fourth Street to a point
measured approximately 8S feet
=northeasterly of said centerline
to Fourth Street.
Fourth Street .The northeasterly side from a
point measured approximately 135
feet northwesterly from the
centerline of Big Basin Way to a
point measured approximately 190
feet northwesterly of such
centerline of Big Basin Way."
SECTION 2z Paragraph (e) of Section 9-15.100 in Article 9-15 of
the City Code is amended to read as follows:
"(e) Additional designation. The following described
portion of Big Basin Way is declared to be a congested area
designated as a passenger loading zone and subject to the
restrictions of this Section during the effective hours of 6:00
P,M. to Midnight: =
On the northwesterly side from
approximately 75 feet southwesterly
of the centerline of Fourth Street
to approximate 119 feet
southwesterly of said centerline of
Fourth Street."
SECTXON 3: If nay section, subsection, sentence, clause or
phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held by a court of
competent Jurisdiction to be invalid oK unconstitutional, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this Ordinance. The City council of the City of Saratoga
hereby declares that it would have passed this Ordinance and each
section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase thereof,
irrespective of the fact that one'or more sections, subsections,
sentences, clauses or phrases may be held invalid or
unconstitutional.
S~CTION 4t This Ordinance shall,be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage and adoption.

The above and foregoing ordinance was regularly introduced
and after the waiting time required by law, was thereafter paesed
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Saratoga held on the lth day of Auqust, 1991, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Anderson, Clevenger, Monia, Stutzman and Mayor Kohler
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
