AN ORDINANCE APPROViNG THE ANNEXATION OF.
CERTAIN UNINHABITED~ TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"SAR 1964-1", TO THE CITY OF SARATOGA
The City Council of ~he City of Saratoga does hereby
ordain as follows:
WHEREAS on the 21st 2day of O~tober, 1964, the City
Council of the city of saratoga did pass and adopt Resolution
No. 208 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain
uninhabited territory to the City of saratoga, said territory
being therein designated. as "SAR'1964-1", said resolution
describing the.b6und~ries of ~he territory proposed to be
WHEREAS said resolutionsdid contain a n0~ice of
the day? hour and place when and where.the counc~i of the
~ity would hear protests made~ by any person owning real
property within the territor~ proposed to,be annexed, and
WHEREAS pursuan~ to said resolution, on the 2d
day of DeCember, I964, at th~ hour of 8:00 .o'clock P.M. in
the Council Chambers of the City of Saratoga, the said City
Council did hear and pass up6n all protests made to the
proposed annexation, and didOdetermine bytesolution No. 216
that a majority protest had hot been made in accord with the
provisions of the"Annexation~of Uninhabited Territory Act
of 1939, and
WHEREAS said terri~tory is contiguous to the~City
of Saratoga and is uninhabit,ed territory in the County of
Santa Clara, S~ate of California,
NOW, THEREFORE, s~id Council of the City of Saratoga
does hereby find that said protest hearing has been conducted

in accordance with the laW, and that due a~d legal notice
of all.steps and proceedings u~der this annexation proceed-
.~n~ have been'given'as required by law,.and said City
council does hereby ~pprove th+ annexation.Of.the'territory
hereinafter descri~ed.to~'the City of Saratoga, and does
hereby further ordain that said territory_be and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Saratoga. Said territory,
the annexation of which to the!City of Saratoga is.hereby
approved, is all that territory situated in the County of
Santa Clara, State of California, and more particularly des-
cribed on Exhibit "A" attachedihereto and incorporated herein
by ~eference.
This ordinance shall! take effect and be infull
force and effect thirty (30) days after the date0f i~s
passage and adoption.
This ordinance was ~egularly introduced on the 2d
day of December, 1964, and a{~er the waiting time required
b~ law, was thereafter passed~and adopted on the 16th day
of December , 1964!, by the following vote:
