AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA AMENDING
ORDINANCE NS-3, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY
AMENDING SECTIONS 3.3 AND 5.3 THEREOF TO ADD
FAMILY CARE HOMES AS A CONDITIONAL'USE IN
R1 AND RM ZONING DISTRICTS
The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby
ordain as follows:
Section 1: Section 3.3 of Ordinance NS-3, captioned
"Conditional Uses" is hereby amended by adding thereto Sub-
division (i) and Section 5.3 of Ordinance NS-3, therein
captioned "Conditional Uses" is hereby amended by adding
thereto Subsection (g), each of said subsections to read
as follows:
( ) Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsec-
tion (a) above, a State authorized, certified or
or fewer mentally disordered or other-
wise handicapped persons or dependent and neglected
children, so long as such homes provide care on a
24 hour a day basis, and so long as said homes other-
wise comply with all the provisions of Welfare &
Institutions Code Section 5116 of the State of
California, as presently existing or as hereafter
amended.
Section 2: The above and foregoing ordinance, after
public hearing ~eld thereon on the 22~. day of September , 1976
before the Planning Commission of th'~ity of Saratoga, was
thereafter introduced by the City Council, and after public
hearing held thereon before said City Council on the 20thday
of October , 1976, was thereafter passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of said City Council held on the 3rd day of
NoVember ., 197~,at which a quorumwas present, byt'~e following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen Bridges, Brlg~m, Kr~u.., Corr & Matteen1
ABSENT: None "\ _ MAYOR
