AN ORDINANCE'OF'THE,CITY Q~SARATOGA AMENDING
ORDINANCEt NS~3, THE ZONING"ORDI~ANCE~ BY PROVIDING
FOR PROFIT MAKING SCHOOLS AND CONITIONAL USES fN
THE A, R-l, R-M and P~A DISTRICTS
The City Council of the City of~Saratgga does hereby 0rda~n
as follows: 7.
Section 1: Subsections 2.3(a) (Conditional Uses in A
Districts), 3.3(a) (Conditional Uses in R-1 Districts), and
~-(-a')-~-(,Condi.t±onal~Uses--in R-M Districts) are hereby
a~ended~o~read~s~ fOrl~w~:' "

and parochial &lementary schools, junior high schools,
high schools and colleges; ndrsery schools; private
schools and colleges; public playgrounds, parks~ community
centers, libraries, museums, art gallerieS, police and

Section 2: Subsection 6.3(a) (Conditional Uses in.P-~.
Districts) is hereby amended to read as fol-lows:

high schools and colleges; nursery, schools; private
schools and colleges; public playgrounds, parks,.community
centers, libraries, museums, art galleries, police and
fire st. ations and other public buildings,' structures' and

convents ahd other'religious institutions; public and
private charitable institutions; hospitals,'sani~g~i~s,

Section 3: 'if any s'ect~on, subsection,.s~nt~nce, clause or
phrase of this Ordinance ~s for any reason held byi~ court
of competent .jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall
not affect the validity of.the remaining portions of this
Ordinance: The City Council qf the City of Saratoga hereby.
declares that it would have pas~ed"this Ordinance.and each
section, sentence., clause and phrase ther~, irrespective
of'the fact that any'one or more sections, subSections,
sentences, clauses or phrases be held invalid'or unconsti-
tutional. '
Section 4: Thi~ Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force'and effect thirty (30) days from and after the date
of its passage and adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held'
on the 4th day of'~August , 1982,.'by the following
