Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m. II. Roll Call Commissioners Present: Vita Bruno, Sandra Dodge, Logan Deimler, Angela Frazier, Greg Gates, Anne Sanquini, Thomas Soukup Commissioners Absent: None Others Present: Council Liaison Ann Waltonsmith, Staff Liaison Cary Bloomquist. Public present: Janis Riccomini of A.Y.S.O. III. Reuort on Posting of the Agenda: Pursuant to Government Code 54954.2 the agenda was properly posted on October 30, 2003 IV. Approval of Minutes of MeetinE: Motion by Commissioner Angela Frazier, Seconded by Commissioner Tom Soukup, to approve the October 3, 2003 Action Minutes with corrections as noted on audiotape. Vote taken, action minutes approved 7-0. V. Administration: 1) City Council Liaison Ann Waltonsmith mentioned CIP discussion at next Council meeting on November 5, 2003 and encouraged attendance of interested Commissioners. "Wish list" items forwarded to Council from Community Meeting discussed. Also reported Odd Fellows Trail Letter was recently mailed out. Reported DeAnza Trail process is moving forward. Will walk trail with Fredricksburg Drive neighbors sometime in the next few weeks. 2) Staff liaison Cary Bloomquist gave brief report on October 22, 2003 Parks Tour with the new Commissioners. Went very well, covering most of the City Parks. Also gave update on Brookglen, El Quito, and Wildwood Park Projects. Projects proceeding forward. Once Wildwood Park water feature drawings complete, will reactivate task force to final review. VI. Oral and Written Communication. Janis Riccomini of A.Y.S.O. gave field condition report and a demographic breakdown, by city, of participants in the VII' program. Also stated A.Y.S.O. will be attending the City Council C]P meeting to lobby for flat grass at Kevin Moran Park. For next meeting, requested a listing of A.Y.S.O. participants, by City, using Congress Springs Park and a listing of the total number of A.Y.S.O. fields used within the City of Cupertino. VII. Action Items: 1) PRC Trails Sub-Committee update on UPRR/PG&E Easement: Update given during Council Member Ann Waltonsmiths report. VIII. Old Business: None IX. New Business: 1) November PRC Retreat: Chair Gates set possible dates of November 15 or 22 for our PRC Retreat at the North Campus site. Will be four hours in duration, with details to be worked out via email. 2) Holiday Party Details and Planner: December 11, 2003, 6-10 p.m. at the Warner Hutton House. Need to develop list of attendees. Keep casual, with heavy hors d'oeuvres and lots of dessert. Either contribute money or bring something. 3) December 1, 2003 PRC Meeting: Parks Rules, CIP, Odd Fellows Trail Update, Dog Park Presentation. XI. RepOYYS 1. Sub Committees: a) Trails: Updates given by Commissioner Logan Deimler. b) Creek Cleanup: Commissioners Dodge and Bruno would like to Add a third site to the Bi-Annual cleanup events. Staff to investigate feasibility. 2. Task Forces: No formal reports given. Commissioner Dodge reported met with fellow Handbook Task Force Member Commissioner Sanquini and have generated a table of contents. Handbook, if it proceeds forward, should be completed by the summer of 2004. Commissioner Frazier reported the Dog Park Task Force held one meeting on how to form the task force with members from the public. 3. Commissioner Reports: • Dodge-Attended HPC Meeting. Proposal to turn Eucalyptus Tree area at Historical Park into an Amphitheater. • Soukup-C.S.P. field #1 soggy. • Sanquini-None • Bruno-None • Frazier-None • Deimler-None • Gates-Working with MIS on City Website improvements. Codify park rules. Think of ways to promote events at parks. XII. Adjournment Commissioner Bruno made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Frazier seconded the motion.
