Dear Dan,__ JACK BUKTENICA ASSOCIATES LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS 2250 PARK BOULEVARD PALO ALTO, CA 94306 (415) 326 -1729 August 16, 1985 Dan Trinidad, Director of Maintenance City of Saratoga 13777 Fruitvale Avenue Saratoga, California 95070 This is to confirm the fee for services to develop construction drawings with necessary specifications for Congress Springs Park in Saratoga. My guidelines for developing this fee were the re- vised master plan and funding application we prepared last year. I assumed we will be following this basic plan which will be confirmed at a meeting with the Parks and Recreation Commission on Sept. 4th. The fee is based upon a project in the range of between $350,000 and $450,000. I deducted $8,000 for the master plan portion which is completed and came up with a fee of $29,500. Ninety percent of this is for construction drawings and specifica- tions and 10o for bidding assistance and inspection of the work in progress. Inspection of the work in progress is billed on an hourly basis, and if it totals more than the ten percent of $29,500.00 ($2,950.00) it shall be billed at the same hourly rates, which are $60 for Principal Landscape Architect, $50 for Associate Landscape Architect, and $42.50 for Assistant Landscape Architect. Any work that requires a licensed engineer is subject to the City's approval and charged directly at cost. Blueprints are charged at cost plus 15%. _I believe this covers the basic items. Please call if you have any questions or need more information. Very truly yours, k Buk ica
