On Wednesday, June 12, 1985 bids were received and opened
on the above project. The apparent low bidder was Cushman
_.Construction Co. with a bid of $41,819.00 The budget amount
for this project was $32,500. The reason for the difference
was the unforseen high cost of the luminaires. By eliminating
the luminaires from the project and still relocating the one
existing luminaire the project can be accomplished at an amount
of The five luminaires can be bid at.a later
date under the HCD Project "Accessibility to Government Buildings.
Award the contract to Cushman Construction for the amount of
$28,339.00.
Rebid the luminaires under the "Accessibility to Government
Buildings Project :at a later date. The estimated cost for
the luminaires is now $15,000.00
The $28,399:00 would come from the Library Bond Fund. The
$4,161 left from the $32,500 budget amount would be applied
to installation of the luminaires under another project
(HCD- Accessibility to Government Buildings).
