ON E1,VA AVENUE Suumary At its meeting on December 18,. 1.985. the City Council approved the .realignment of the intersection of Elva Avenue /Canyon View Drive/ Michaels Drive /Reid Lane, including the placement of stop signs on Elya Avenue at Canyon. View Drive and Elva Avenue at Fourth Street. The reconstruction of Elva Avenue is presently under way and should be completed within a few weeks; therefore, we should be ready to install the stop signs upon said completion. Fiscal Impacts: Installation of two RIR (stop) signs along with the related markings and striping should amount to approximately $250.00, which would come from the traffic safety budget (712- 41 -70). Rates of .pay for these positions are set by market survey and experience in recruiting for and filling these positions. Resolution No. contains proposed pay rates for the 1986/87 fiscal year. Fiscal Impacts: The cost of maintaining Part -time Temporary positions is included in Department budgets. APPROVAL SUBJECT: RESOLUTION ADOPTING REVISED JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR PLANNING POSITIONS Surmary: Reorganization and personnel changes in the Planning Department have created a need for revised job descriptions for the Assistant Planner and Associate Planner positions. These positions are now being established in such a way as to provide more flexibility and oppor- tunity for cross training. The Management position of Senior Planner is being eliminated with the resignation of the incumbent, and will be replaced at the Associate Planner level (a non management position).
