RESOLUTION NO, 85-1 .
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 85, CREATING CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY SCALE
IIIFOR DEPUTY CITY CLERK AND JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER, CHANGING SALARY SCALE FOR
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR, AND ESTABLISHING SALARY FOR DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1 : There is hereby added to Section 2,1 of Resolution 85 of
the City of Saratoga the following additional classifications
and salary range scales:
DEPUTY CITY CLERK
DUTIES: Secretarial work for City Clerk Administrator, interviewing
members of the public, making appointments, supervising and
directing other office employees, subject to the control of the City
Clerk; performs all duties of City Clerk as established. by State law,
and acts as City Clerk in the absence of. the City Clerk.
SALARY RANGE: From $350. to $440. •
JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
DUTIES: Performs professional engineering services under the direction
and supervision of the Director of Public Works, specifically
including, without limiting the foregoing, the following: prepares
III pland, specifications and cost estimates for public works projects and
acts as inspector thereon; acts as instrumentman or chief of party on
field surveys; makes all necessary inspections of encroachments, sub-
divisions and sites as directed; has concurrent authority with the
Director to issue encroachment and other permits issuable by the Director.
SALARY RANGE: From $515.00 to $630.00
SECTION 3: Section 2.2 of Resolution 85 is hereby amended to change
the salary range for the specialty employee category of
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR as follows:
SALARY RANGE: From $565.00 to $665.00
SECTION 4: Effective the 1st day of July, 1961, the salary of. the
Director of Public Works of the City of. Saratoga shall
be the sum-of $800.00 per month.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at the regular
meeting:'cof the City Council of the City of. Saratoga held on the 21st day of,
June, 1961, by the following vote:
AYES: Glennon, Drake, La.ngwill, Hartman
