Meeting Minutes

1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by the Chair at 4:OOpm
2. Roll Call: Present: Stallman, Swan, Waltonsmith; City liaison Harvancik
absent: Cosyn
3. Report on Posting of the Agenda: So done
4. Accept Agenda Items and Order: Moved item 7 Presentation to after Old
Business
5. Oral and Written Communication: None
6. Old Business:
• Blue Hills School Safety Crossing update (Reconnect Saratoga)
- Discussions with the RR have begun with VTA help
- VTA has awarded money to fund the project
• Quarry Park Master Plan update—
- Another site visit walk open to all was held in April
- The final planning meeting workshop is being held May 3Ya
- The Negative Declaration Environment Document is being release
on April 21 st for 30 day public comment period.
7. Presentation:
County Roads Expressway Plan 2040
- Westgate intersections are receiving renewed study akin to the
work that was done at Almaden and Cherry in San Jose
- Rural road system input is being solicited
- Complete Streets planning including neighborhood pedestrian
features is being incorporated into present and future road work
8. Staff Report—upcoming events
- Arbor Day City Hall Tree Planting—April 22
- Commission Recognition Dinner—April 30
- City Council joint meeting with PEBTAC—July 2
9. New Business
Meeting schedule
- Meetings are to be scheduled quarterly

Pending Trail Updates -None
Member Reports
- Wildflowe�planting on HWY 9 at the new crosswalk is an
explosion of blooms
- There may be interest in putting benches along Saratoga Avenue
- The surplus pedestrian bridge from the Quito Road Bridge
replacement project will be used to connect the Orchard Trail to
Ciry Hall Coinplex upstream of Fruitvale Avenue

Traffic Safety Coinmission may want to receive the County Roads presentation
