7b. Briefly describe the present physical appearance of the site or
structure and describe any major alterations from its original
condition:
Two story wood frame structure with gabled shingle roof. Full width
covered porch on Saratoga Avenue frontage. A driveway, front fence and
a garage are the major additions to the site since its original
construction in 1903. These improvements are in conformance with the
period and style of the residence. The conversion of the structure from
a single family residence to a duplex in 1937 was accomplished by
demising the interior at the stairwell. Ingress /egress to the two units
is accomplished by each unit utilizing one side of the double door that
was installed when the house was originally constructed. The house size
is estimated to be 2,800 sq. ft. The house has been maintained inside
and out utilizing period style materials and colors.

Original owner unknown. From 1937 to 1989 the house was owned by
Florence Rowen. The estimated construction date of 1903 was provided.by
Fred Reed, a neighbor. Since 1989 the house has been owned by Mark and
Shireen Ebner.
The primary significance of this residence is architectural. It is
basically unchanged from its original configuration. Based on its size
and quality of construction, the original owners were of some economic
prominence
